Culture and Convenience Near Logan Square Apartments

Logan Square—located just one half mile from The Packard Motor Car Building —is home to some of the city’s most celebrated treasures. Bounded by Market Street, Spring Garden Street, Broad Street, and the Schuylkill River, this neighborhood packs together fun, leisure, and history.

Situated in the middle of our Center City neighborhood and nearby Logan Square are endless attractions and monuments.

Iconic Logan Square

This public space was included in William Penn’s original plan for Philadelphia, devised in 1682. While Logan Square Park is rather simple in stature, both tourists and residents flock to this space. In the center of the park is the ornate Swann Memorial Fountain, a large centerpiece that represents the region’s major waterways. The famous Ben Franklin Parkway circles around the square, bringing in constant buzz and activity. This major thoroughfare makes sightseeing easy for all, allowing residents and tourists to hit many of Philadelphia’s finest cultural locations.

Excitement on The Ben Franklin Parkway

Facing each other on both ends of the parkway are City Hall and the Philadelphia Art Museum, located only a 30-minute walk away from each other. In between these two attractions lies endless options for fun and learning, such as the Franklin Institute, Academy of Natural Sciences, Rodin Museum, the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, the Oval (a summer pop-up park), and the Philadelphia Free Library (and that’s not even all of them!). The Parkway is also home to the city’s largest annual events, such as the Welcome America Fourth of July celebration and the Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Easy Access to Philadelphia’s Neighboring Areas

Although the heart of Logan Square is full of attractions, the residential areas are sought out for their tranquility. Filled with row homes and apartments, there are many conveniently located tree-lined streets. Students, professionals, and families find themselves living near Logan Square, as commuting to both school and work is a breeze. The heart of Center City is just a 20-minute walk away, where residents have easy access to the business district and University City. Additionally, the Fairmount area is also only a 20-minute stroll away, allowing Logan Square locals to get a taste of its lovely restaurants or peruse the ample shops. While commuters have the option to walk to work, navigating public transportation near Logan Square is just as easy. Because everything is located within walking distance, residents often do not have cars in the area; biking, walking, and public transit are typically the standard means of transportation.

Because Logan Square so beautifully melds together a life of activity with serene residences to retreat back to, it offers comfortable living options for those of all ages. The main strip is packed with fun (and so are the neighboring areas), but residential streets serve as a haven of tranquility. Because of its convenient location, residents often venture to neighboring areas to get a taste of some of Philadelphia’s best qualities.
