Apartments on the Avenue of the Arts
If you’d like to be immersed in the arts and culture of Philadelphia, then you will want to check out our apartments on the Avenue of the Arts in the historic Packard Motor Car Building. This historic building has been renovated into the contemporary apartment community that you’ve been looking for on Broad Street in the heart of the city’s arts and culture scene. You’ll be surrounded by music, dance, theater, and fine arts when living at the Packard.
Avenue of the Arts is a signature street in Philly and home to the Kimmel Center and the Academy of Music, two fine organizations that host events from classical to contemporary music genres. The Kimmel Center offers everything from jazz to family discovery shows to the famed Philadanco dance company. You can see an indie rock show or a Broadway musical at the Kimmel Center. The Academy of Music will be another place close to your new home for you to enjoy Broadway shows and even opera. There are family-friendly events and wonderful theater productions for a date night, too. The nearby Merriam Theater is Philadelphia’s most continuous location for Broadway shows. You’ll love enjoying the aesthetic of the Merriam after some fine dining at one of Center City’s award-winning restaurants.
The Pennsylvania Ballet calls the Academy of Music home, and you will not want to miss their amazing production of The Nutcracker during the holiday season! Aspiring ballerinas will want to enroll in the nearby Rock School for Dance Education, which has been reputed as one of the best pre-professional training programs for more than 50 years. The Pennsylvania Ballet also offers programs and classes without auditions, so you don’t have to be the most experienced to let your inner dancer shine!
If fine arts is more your scene, there are also fantastic museums for you to immerse yourself into the world of drawing, painting, and sculpture. The Carre d’artistes Gallery is a quaint space for you to explore contemporary exhibits and monthly featured artists. Many pieces are available for purchase, which will look fabulous in one of our Packard Motor Car Building apartments on the Avenue of the Arts. Pennsylvania Academy for the Fine Arts and The Fabric Workshop and Museum both have lovely spaces to observe art pieces as well as classes to workshop some of your own unique creations nearby as well.
